* **Limited support options**: Our recipient support team can generally only assist customers where the email address on record matches the enquirer. If you forward a gift, your recipient won’t match our records and support may be restricted.
* **Password resets go to the wrong person**: Recipients can set a password on their gift. If they forget it, the reset link is sent to the original email address the gift was delivered to – not the forwarded one.
* **Resend support is compromised**: If a recipient accidentally deletes or loses their gift card, our support can quickly resend it to the recipient, but only if the final intended recipient’s email address is on record.
* **High risk of mistakes**: We’ve seen cases where clients forward the same gift card to multiple people by accident, or mix up which gift belongs to which recipient. This can cause confusion and disappointment.

Sending directly to each recipient’s email address avoids these issues and ensures the best experience.
