How can I add two-factor authentication (2FA) on my account?

GiftPay encourages all users to add two-factor authentication (or 2FA) to help keep their account secure.

GiftPay supports Time-based One-Time Passwords for two factor authentication. Example apps that will work with GiftPay 2FA include Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, and Duo Mobile, but many others are available.

To set it up on your account:

1. Login to GiftPay Express;
2. Click on your username in the top right of the page then select Edit user settings;
3. Scroll down to the Two-Factor Authentication secction and click on Set up Two-Factor Authentication;
4. Ensure you have a compatible app installed on your smartphone, find the option to add an account within the app, and then scan the QR Code and click Next.
5. To verify that your setup worked correctly, enter the 6 digit code shown in the app into the GiftPay web site, and press Verify.

Once setup, you will be prompted to enter both your password and the code from your authenticator app each time you sign in.
